Buying an AdSense Account for YouTube: Risks and a Legal Alternative in 2026

Vladimir Sivenkov Vladimir Sivenkov · Official RHEI representative

Thousands of authors search for “buy AdSense” and “buy an AdSense account for YouTube.” The reason is simple: the channel exists, the views exist, but getting money to your own account doesn’t work.

Most often this happens in three cases:

  • the author lives in a country where AdSense payouts are unavailable or difficult;
  • the channel hasn’t yet met the conditions of the YouTube partner program;
  • there is no way to set up tax data and a payment profile.

On the market “solutions” appear immediately: buy a ready-made account, rent someone else’s or “connect monetization for a percentage.” Let’s go through how these end and what to do instead.

What Is Really Being Sold

Behind the words “AdSense account” usually hides one of three things.

1. Someone else’s account to which your channel is attached. You hand control of your income to a person you don’t know. The money goes to them, not to you, and it can only be returned at their goodwill.

2. An account registered to a front person. The data in it doesn’t match the real owner of the channel. Google checks identity and the payment profile, and on a mismatch the account is blocked.

3. A “we monetize your channel for a percentage” scheme. Often this is the same first option under a different name. A contract, if there is one, protects nobody.

Why It Is Risky

Google’s AdSense rules require that the account be owned by the person who receives the income and don’t allow transferring it to third parties. Real consequences follow from this.

  • Account blocking and loss of accumulated money. Google can close the account and not pay out the balance if it finds a violation.
  • Loss of the channel. Monetization violations can end with monetization being disabled or the channel itself being blocked, and years of work go with it.
  • Fraud. The seller disappears after payment or sells an account that no longer exists.
  • No protection. If a dispute turns into a conflict, there is nothing to confirm your right to the money.
  • Tax questions. One person receives the income while another runs the channel. It is hard to report such money.

For a channel you have built for years, this is too big a bet just to get payouts.

If you can’t connect AdSense directly, it doesn’t mean there is no monetization. The working paths are:

  1. Connect AdSense yourself. If you can set up a payment profile and tax data in a supported country, this is the simplest option.
  2. Work through a partner network (MCN). The network signs a contract with you, connects the channel to its infrastructure and pays you a share of income. This is an official YouTube model and it works with authors around the world.
  3. Earn on channels where AdSense isn’t needed. Affiliate programs, sponsorship, your own products and a website. More about this in the article How to Earn on YouTube in 2026: All Ways to Monetize a Channel.

How It Works Through RHEI

RHEI is the partner network I work with. It connects channels to monetization through its own infrastructure, not through “renting someone else’s AdSense.”

What the author gets:

  • a contract with a partner instead of a scheme “on a handshake”;
  • ad monetization, Content ID and content protection;
  • payouts on clear terms;
  • support if something goes wrong.

How to Tell Whether This Path Will Suit You

The network looks at the channel, not at a desire to get money at any cost. Channels have better chances where:

  • the content is original and the rights belong to you;
  • there are stable views and regular publications;
  • the channel doesn’t violate YouTube’s rules and has no active strikes.

Channels with someone else’s, re-uploaded or rule-breaking content won’t fit, and it is more honest to find that out before connecting than after being blocked.

What to Do Next

  1. Assess why you can’t connect AdSense yourself: country, channel requirements or tax questions. The solution depends on the reason.
  2. Don’t pay for “ready-made accounts” and don’t give outsiders access to your channel.
  3. Leave a request: I will review your channel and tell you whether connecting through RHEI suits you.

The Main Takeaway

You can buy an AdSense account, but you will pay with risks: account blocking, losing money and the channel itself. There is a legal alternative: monetization through a partner network with a contract and clear terms. It doesn’t require your own AdSense and doesn’t put the channel at risk.
